Vezor Sharp: Rossignol Vezor Trail Shoes Cut Through the Miles

We’re seeing more and more companies that started out in apparel—or other outdoor activities—expand into the shoe game. Some have a learning curve, others hit the ground running. Recently, brands like rabbit, Tracksmith, and Lululemon have made their moves, and now Rossignol is in the mix.

I have to say, the Rossignol Vezor – a new option from the company –  is surprisingly solid. Just because one of the “core” trail running shoe companies isn’t on the side of the trail doesn’t mean it doesn’t belong in the conversation.

Specs:
  • Weight: 9.9 oz (282 g) for a US M10
  • Stack Height: 30 mm heel / 24 mm forefoot
  • Drop: 6 mm
  • Lugs: 3 mm front / 4 mm back

Overall, this is a well-constructed shoe from top to bottom.

The upper is breathable mesh, with visible underlays Rossignol calls the Dragonfly, designed to wrap a variety of foot shapes. The gusseted tongue isn’t overly padded, but combined with the cushioned heel and high “elf-style” back, it holds the foot nicely. There’s plenty of flexibility near the toes, and the TPU toe cap protects without feeling restrictive.

The midsole is particularly interesting: a dual-foam setup with a high-rebound EVA on top and a nitrogen-infused supercritical EVA below, called N+ lower foam. This is generally the reverse of most shoes, which usually put the softer foam beneath. It’s comfortable, though I noticed slightly more ground feel than expected.

Between the layers sits the Diapazon+, a carbon insert shaped like a tuning fork or slingshot rather than a full plate. I’m not a fan of full plates—especially in trail shoes unless executed perfectly—but this unique construction offers stability and propulsion while keeping flexibility intact.

The outsole uses a super-grippy Michelin Formula, so traction is never an issue.

If I have a critique, it’s mostly aesthetic. The shoe comes in Neon Red and Dazzle Blue, with the company name prominently displayed. They’re fine, but a little ho-hum. I’d love to see future Rossignol shoes play up the fun rooster logo a bit more.

Rossignol’s Vezor Trail Shoes hit the trail running scene harder than you might expect. They’re comfortable, flexible, and surprisingly tech-forward, with just enough ground feel to stay connected without sacrificing cushioning. The colors might not turn heads, but on the trails, these shoes are all business—and they belong in the conversation.
