Out of This World Comfort Courtesy of while on earth

When it comes to running gear, I’ve learned that comfort is non-negotiable. Shoes tend to steal the spotlight, but shorts and tights can make or break a run just as easily. A waistband that slips, fabric that chafes, or a fit that feels restrictive—and suddenly you’re counting the miles for all the wrong reasons.

That’s why we were intrigued to see what while on earth is bringing to the table with their shorts and tights.

The brand itself is pretty new but not without experience. It was founded by Todd Meleney (formerly of NoBull) alongside CrossFit athletes Brooke Wells and Mat Fraser. Between the design background and the athlete perspective, it makes sense that their apparel is built with performance and functionality in mind.

Origin Short ($62)

When it comes to running gear, shorts are often the unsung heroes. A good pair will let you forget you’re even wearing them, while a bad pair can leave you distracted with slipping waistbands or chafing seams. The Origin Shorts fall firmly into the first camp.

They’re lightweight without feeling flimsy, and the waistband sits securely in place without digging in. The cut provides just enough room to move comfortably whether you’re running, training, or just walking around town. At a 7″ inseam, they have a simple everyday-look profile and you’ve got a piece that balances performance with style.

Bottom line: These shorts have quickly become a versatile option in my rotation, equally reliable for runs, gym sessions, and casual wear.

Intent Tights ($92)

Finding a good pair of women’s tights can be harder than it seems. Too loose and they slip, too tight and they restrict movement—neither of which is ideal when you’re running or training. The Intent Tights hit a really nice balance.

The fit is supportive but not overly compressive, with enough stretch to move freely through runs, workouts, or everyday activities. The high-rise waistband is secure and stays put without digging in, which is always a win. On cooler mornings, they’ve been a perfect go-to layer, keeping things comfortable without causing overheating once the effort ramps up.

Looks matter here too, and While on Earth clearly cares about style as much as function. The tights come in a variety of colorways—ranging from subtle, versatile tones to more vibrant, bold choices. It’s nice to have options that work equally well for gym sessions, outdoor runs, or even just casual wear.

Bottom line: These tights check the right boxes for women’s performance apparel—comfortable, supportive, stylish, and versatile enough to go from training to everyday life.

Overall, while on earth feels like a brand that’s found a nice middle ground: sharp design without overcomplication, and performance details that actually matter when you’re out there putting in miles. The shorts and tights are both versatile enough to be everyday training staples, and stylish enough that you won’t mind keeping them on post-workout.
