Haulin Aspen is back for 2025!

There are several “must-do” races in Central Oregon, especially trail races, and Haulin Aspen is definitely one of them. Featuring a full trail marathon, Haulin Aspen also offers a half marathon and a half-as (quarter marathon).

All 3 distances are in the trail system that runs out of Wanoga Sno-Park, and all 3 have some good elevation to make things interesting.

The half-as keeps it real with about 370 feet of gain, while the half makes you work a little harder with 890 feet of gain. The full, however, is a solid course, with more than 2,100 feet of gain and a nice gut-punch, 500-foot hill, at mile 22.

Add to all of this the expected temps around mid-August tend to hover around the upper 80’s to the low 90’s, and you can quickly see what kind of a challenge this is!

But don’t let that slow you down, the single track trails are amazing, with well packed dirt, fun winding sections, and a beautiful landscape you only get at 5,500 feet above sea level.

This year, Haulin Aspen has been selected as the official USATF Oregon Mountain Trail Marathon and Half Marathon Championship race! Race with the elites!
