Riding High at the 2025 Pacific Crest Endurance Sports Festival

The Pacific Crest Endurance Sports Festival has been going strong for many years now, (29, in fact.) I have some really lovely memories of running the Pacific Crest Half Marathon about 20 years ago and it’s so easy to make this event a part of a really fun summer weekend adventure.

This year, Pacific Crest will be held on the weekend of June 13^th and 14^th at Riverbend Park in Bend. There is really an event for everyone, with a Beastman 72.3, the Olympic & Sprint Distance Triathlon/Duathlon/AquaBike, Marathon, Half Marathon, 5k, 10k, & even a kids Triathlon. Did you get all that? Because it’s a lot!

The runs will all  start at Riverbend Park and the course meanders through Bend on wide, paved bike paths along the Deschutes River. The course is relatively flat, and runners will enjoy views of meadows, rivers, and landscaped golf greens and summer home neighborhoods. Runners will return to Riverbend Park and marathon runners will head back out for another loop.

There will be fun post-race festivities to enjoy for all, including the Sports & Fitness Expo and live entertainment. Post-race refreshments will also be available.

In addition to all the fun of the athletic events, this is a great opportunity to get out of town for the weekend and have some family fun or to hang out with a group of friends! Everything kicks off on Friday with the Kids Splash & Dash Triathlon and the Sunset 5k in the evening. Saturday is the day for the 10k Marathon and Half Marathon, plus the Triathlon, Dualathlon & AquaBike events. So many events packed into one fun weekend!!

The events of Pacific Crest often SELL OUT, so register now and get your travel arrangements set ASAP!! This is a weekend every athlete (yes, that’s you!) should do at least once, and many make it a tradition every year.
