Catch Tomorrow’s Stars Today at the USATF U20 Outdoor Championships (June 19 & 20)

Some of you may already be counting down the days until the 2025 Toyota USATF Outdoor Championships hit Eugene and Hayward Field later this summer (July 31–August 3). It’s a premier event, and if you’ve never attended an Olympic Trials or National Championship in TrackTown USA — or even if you have — it’s a must-experience moment for any track and field fan.

Before the big show, there’s another incredible event you should have on your radar — the 2025 USATF U20 Outdoor Championships, coming to Hayward June 19–21. This is your chance to see the future stars of American track and field — the ones who could be on Olympic podiums in just a few years — as they compete for national titles and international team spots.

Don’t sleep on this meet.

It’s a jam-packed schedule that runs from 9:15 AM to 7:30 PM on Thursday, and then 7:30 AM to 8:15 PM on Friday. Friday evening in particular — starting around 5:30 PM — turns into a fast-paced block of back-to-back Finals, with medal-worthy performances happening every five minutes or so. It’s one of those rare windows where the energy is electric and the action just doesn’t stop.

Make a Day of It

If you’re heading down to Hayward Field, why not stretch your legs too? There are some amazing places to run nearby — perfect for making it a full track-and-trail day.

  • Pre’s Trail
    • No track pilgrimage to Eugene is complete without a stop at the iconic loop in Alton Baker Park. A smooth, woodchip surface and tranquil scenery make it the perfect shakeout or cooldown run.
  • Ridgeline Trail System
    • Looking to earn some vert and take in sweeping views? The Ridgeline Trail System offers a beautiful escape just minutes from downtown. The Spring Boulevard Trailhead is the closest to Hayward — just about an 11-minute drive — and delivers a quick hit of forested trails and rolling climbs.

Tickets & Details

All tickets are General Admission and just $33 for a full day of action. Even better, kids under 10 get in free, making it a great outing for families and fans of all ages.

So come celebrate the next generation of elite athletes in one of the most legendary venues in the world. TrackTown’s calling — and you don’t want to miss this.
