The Mary’s Peak Trail Runs are coming up fast on June 14th! These trail races, which offer you a 50 miler, a 50k, and a 25k, have a limited field of only 300 runners. The location is in the coast range, about 20 minutes west of Corvallis in a town called Blodgett, and this race will be a very scenic trek through the Starker Forest. On a clear day, you can see all the way out to the ocean.

Consider camping onsite before the event or book the Fir Ridge Campground off Hwy 20 if you have an RV. There are also some hotel options in the Corvallis area.
All distances will leave from the Blodgett school. The 50 Miler, considered one of the toughest in America, will take off first at 6:00AM. The 50k, with its perfect single perfect summit course, leaves next at 7:30AM. Finally, the 25k, which takes runners through parts of the 50 Miler and 50k course, will begin at 9:30AM. All distances offer a challenging but beautiful course, and you’ll have bragging rights when you tell everyone that you ran to the highest point in the Oregon Coast Range.

The cost for this event is $100 for the 25k, $125 for the 50k, and $140 for the 50 Miler. A soft tee shirt is included in the cost as well as post-race grub. There will be multiple water and aid stations on the course to assist participants. Not only will there be awards 3 deep in each age group for men and women, but the top 3 in each distance will also get free entry for next year. Now that’s a practice that would really crank up the level of competition at events!
Stick around after the race for the live band from 12:00PM to 4:00PM and take advantage of the Cowgirl Cookin onsite. I bet you’ll be hungry and there’s no doubt you’ll earn it!
