New Race Alert! 2025 Firelane Trail Trial

Go Beyond Racing always brings the fun to their trail runs, and this year they have added the 2025 Firelane Trail Trial race to the docket!

If you’ve run in Forest Park, you are probably well aware of Firelane 1. It’s a challenging trail that’s known for being hilly, and of course this is the perfect backdrop for a time trail race. It’s only 4.45 miles long (roundtrip) but it’s got 1,266 feet of total gain and loss, so there’s a lot packed into that stretch of trail. Check out the out-and-back course if you haven’t experience it before.

As with most races, the fastest wins, but this being a time trial means you won’t really know where you are in the standing until later since so many people are starting at different times in waves. Groups of 10 runners will take off every 10 minutes from 10:00AM to 12:30PM, trekking up Firelane 1, tagging the gate, and waving to the live-feed camera before flying back down.

After the race, head to Great Notion Brewing on NW 28th to celebrate and see how you did. The livestream will be playing so you can cheer your fellow runners on from afar. There will be pizza for purchase too! If you think you’re on the slower side, chose one of the earlier starts so you can get over to Great Notion by 1:00PM.

The Firelane 1 trailhead only has about 20 parking spots (hence the wave starts,) but there is also parking on the streets nearby and there will be shuttles going back and forth between the trailhead and Great Notion. As always, Go Beyond stronger encourages car pooling as well! You could even walk/run to and from Great Notion, as it’s only 1.8 miles away.

This race is limited to 160 people, so register quick!
