A lot of people talk about the Hagg Lake Mud Run in February, but if slipping and sliding around in the cold isn’t for you, there’s another event out at Hagg Lake that you should know about, and that’s the 2025 ORRC Hagg Lake Road Run. This event, which has a 5k, a 10k, a 10.5 Miler, and a Kid’s Run takes place in the warmer temperatures of May.
This year, it’s on May 10th and it starts at 8:30AM (with an early start option of 7:30 for the 10.5 Mile walk.)

If you’ve spent any time at Hagg Lake out in Gaston, OR, you already know it’s beautiful out there. This race starts at Bobcat Cove (parking at Boat Ramp C) and features gentle hills and gorgeous views around the lake. The 5k and 10k run/walks are out and back courses and the 10.5 mile run/walk takes participants one lap around the lake in a counter-clockwise direction. The Kid’s Run is a quarter mile loop on both pavement and trail.
There will be 4 aid stations out on the course, and the 10k will go past the 1st aid station twice (located at mile 2.4 and 4.2.) The 10.5 mile race will be the only course that will pass all 4 at miles 2.4, 3.5, 6, and 8.

The ORRC brings us great races at decent rates, and ORRC Members get $15 off all of their events when pre-registering.
