Getting Groovy for the 2025 Hippie Chick

It’s Hippie Chick season! Come out on Mother’s Day weekend and celebrate the women in your life by running the 2025 Hippie Chick! If you’ve never run this Run With Paula race, you still have time and Paula always brings the fun to her races.

This race, held on Saturday May 10^th at Champoeg Park at 8:00AM, features both a half marathon and a quarter marathon as well as a 5k, so you have choices as to how far you want to go. There’s a ½ mile Hippie Kid Fun Run too for the kiddos 7 and under. You can run or walk, and either way you’ll be surrounded by supportive women and a fun race vibe throughout the event.

As always, Paula will have a packet pick-up option at Portland Running Company-Beaverton on Friday May 9^th from 10:00AM to 3:00PM if you’d like to avoid the hassle of one more thing to do race day. Come to the store and pick up any last-minute race essentials while you’re at it.

Champoeg State Park has a $5 fee to park, but you can pay for a parking pass at packet pick up on Friday to bypass the pay station. There will also be volunteers to assist with a limited supply of pre-printed passes (cash only) or you can pay at the pay station on race day when you enter the park. Please do plan to get to the event early, as there will likely be a line at these pay stations.

The races will weave through the park, primarily on bike paths and park roads. A lot of the race is flat and it’s all peaceful and scenic. The 5k will follow the first 1.5 miles of the half marathon course. The half and quarter marathons share the same course for the first 6.55 miles before the half repeats the loop again. There will be hydration stations along the route with water and NUUN sports drink. Some stations will have GU Energy gels as well.

After the race, stick around for the post-run party! There will be a beer garden and food for you to nosh on.
