It’s been a minute (almost 3 years!) since we’ve reviewed some Under Armour footwear. Recently, we received several new releases from this well-established brand, and we’ll be rolling out reviews in the coming weeks. To kick things off, we’re diving into the Under Armour Infinite Pro 2.

At $130, this shoe sits in a more affordable price bracket, offering a solid option for runners. It’s not packed with the most elite of groundbreaking tech, but sometimes simplicity just gets the job done. How does it perform? Let’s dig in.
Looks
The Under Armour Infinite Pro 2 comes in about half a dozen colorways, so there’s likely an option to suit your style. Most are in the muted greens, greys, blacks and whites mix. The men’s pair we tested came in a simple gray palette that, while clean, isn’t particularly eye-catching. For runners like me who tend to lean toward bold and vibrant designs, it’s not a first pick. But I still like it regardless, and for a runner like my wife, who prefers understated and versatile shoes, it’s ideal. I swear, how many black and white shoes can one person own?!
This shoe’s muted tones make it a perfect “runcation” option. It transitions effortlessly from casual wear (think jeans and a T-shirt) to short runs in the 4–7-mile range. While it’s not what I’d choose for a half marathon, it’s great for travel or mixed-use days where you don’t want to pack multiple shoes.
Construction and Fit
The engineered mesh upper feels lightweight and plush, offering a pleasant hold. The tongue is thickly cushioned and sits comfortably, though it’s just slightly shorter than I’d prefer. While the laces are also a bit on the shorter side, I found it easy to achieve a secure fit without too much fiddling or tightening. The overall fit feels supportive and locks your foot in place nicely. It has a really nice step in feel to it and the foot really gets hugged tightly in there.
Specs
- Stack Height: 32mm/24mm
- Heel-to-Toe Drop: 8mm
- Weight: 10.8 oz (Men’s size 9)
Upper
The lightweight engineered mesh is breathable and soft to the touch. I talked a lot about the upper in the section above, so I won’t belabor the point. The Infinite Pro 2 holds the foot extremely well, offering a balance between comfort and performance. The upper isn’t flashy, but it gets the job done, delivering a comfortable experience even on longer wear days.
Midsole
The Infinite Pro 2 features updated HOVR+ cushioning. The top layer consists of TPU bead foam, delivering softness and cushioning, while the EVA carrier foam adds stability. While it’s not the most luxurious cushioning you’ll find, it still delivers a solid that feels confident and responsive. There’s decent energy return and propulsion, making it suitable for most daily runs. At this price point, it offers excellent value, providing reliable cushioning without over-promising.
Outsole
The rubber outsole is straightforward but effective. It delivers ample grip for most runs. There’s nothing overly revolutionary here, but it’s durable and dependable—exactly what you want in a versatile daily trainer.
Conclusion
The Under Armour Infinite Pro 2 is a solid, no-nonsense running shoe. While it doesn’t break any new ground in tech or design, it delivers consistent performance and comfort. For $130, it’s a versatile choice for casual runners, travelers, or anyone seeking a reliable trainer.
