I gotta buddy: Because Everyone Has ‘That Friend’

Everyone has that one friend. You know, the one who’s effortlessly good at everything, whether it’s sports, hobbies, or even solving Rubik’s Cubes blindfolded. For me, it’s my brother-in-law. He’s the guy who can pick up any new activity and somehow crush it without even breaking a sweat. Annoying? A little. Impressive? Absolutely.

The folks at I gotta buddy seem to have built their whole brand around this universal experience. Their apparel is a lighthearted nod to the legendary friend in your life who’s “that guy or gal”. Whether they’re running circles around you at the local 5K, acing pickleball on their first try, or nailing karaoke without rehearsing, these shirts capture the spirit of celebrating their ridiculous (and endearing) greatness.

What They Offer

I gotta buddy keeps it simple: cotton t-shirts, long sleeves, sweatshirts, and hoodies. The designs lean on clean, minimalistic humor, covering a variety of themes like sports, different states, and those everyday inside jokes you share. They’ve got plenty of colors to choose from, so whether you’re shopping for your buddy or as the buddy, there’s a fit for everyone.

The “Running Buddy” Shirt: A Fun Test Run

I tried out their Running-themed shirt, and it’s one of those designs that lands just right. First off, it pokes fun at that classic mix-up: the “10K marathon.” If you’re a runner, you’ve probably heard someone (it’s your mom, right?) ask how your 10k marathon went. Pair that with the fact that my brother-in-law is definitely the kind of guy who could run a solid marathon time after taking a year off from running, and this shirt hits double the laughs for me.

The fabric itself? 100% cotton and perfect for lounging around post-workout – perhaps even post-10k marathon. While it’s nothing overly fancy, that’s kind of the charm. The humor does the heavy lifting here, and the quality’s solid enough to hold up to plenty of laughs and washes.
