Mud, Sweat, and Cheers: Trailblazing into 2025 with the Rogue Resolution Run

Kicking off the new year with a race is a tradition for many runners, and if you’re on the southern Oregon coast, the Rogue Resolution Run offers a unique way to celebrate 2025. Hosted by All Terrain Adventures, this trail race delivers scenic views, light challenges, and the opportunity to start the year with a fresh perspective (and perhaps a little mud!).

Unlike the more common New Year’s road races, this one takes runners off the pavement and onto the trails. The 5K course winds along single-track paths beside the Rogue River, providing stunning riverfront views. While trail races are often associated with steep climbs and rugged terrain, this course is surprisingly beginner-friendly, with just 167 feet of total elevation gain.

Huntley Park, located 7 miles east of Gold Beach, serves as the start and finish for this scenic run. After the race, stick around for coffee, hot chocolate, and snacks—perfect for warming up after a cool winter morning. Even better, a portion of the proceeds supports local high school cross-country programs in Gold Beach, so your run will make a positive impact.

Start 2025 with a trail race adventure, scenic river views, and the satisfaction of helping a good cause.
