Ready to get your feet dirty while running to look for Bigfoot? Well here is your chance! Coming up next month is the 2024 Bigfoot 10k, a downhill point-to-point “PR Course” road race that starts at the Cascade Lakes Welcome Station and continues along the paved pathway that runs alongside Century Drive and finishes downtown at Riverbend Park. “Bend’s Oldest Foot Race,” brought to us by the Central Oregon Running Klub, will be on Sunday October 6th, 2024 and is a fundraiser for the Bend-LaPine School Cross Country Team.
If you have kids who love to run, there is also a “Littlefoot” half mile looped run for kiddos at 10:30AM on race day. If that date doesn’t work for you, there’s also one for kids Kinder thru 5th grade on Wednesday October 2nd at Pine Nursery Park at 3:00PM, and this race option is free.
