Get ready for the inaugural Crystal Creek Run in Eddyville – which sits between Corvallis and Newport – happening on September 21, 2024. This event features a 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon, all starting and finishing at the Eddyville Charter School. Runners will traverse scenic out-and-back courses on the picturesque Crystal Creek Loop (Old Highway 20), with stunning views of the Yaquina River, lush forestland, and historic sites such as the Chitwood Covered Bridge for half marathon participants.
The race will be chip-timed, allowing participants to receive personalized results and check if they’ve won an award. Post-race, enjoy a custom-designed wooden medal, Mo’s Clam Chowder, and other refreshments. First, second, and third place winners in each division will receive special awards, and there will be raffles throughout the day.
The event is hosted by the Eddyville Booster Club, a non-profit organization supporting the Eddyville Charter School with essential supplies, opportunities, and improvements. Proceeds from the race will go towards enhancing the Eddyville Charter School track. After the races, enjoy a lively atmosphere with music, booths, and photo opportunities.
