As autumn’s first frost settles over the Willamette Valley, crisp mornings and a carpet of golden leaves call runners to the forests of Corvallis, Oregon. Each year on the first weekend of October, the Condor 25k Trail Run, now celebrating its 11th year, stands out as one of Oregon’s best-kept secrets in the fall trail running scene.

If you’ve run in McDonald Forest in Corvallis, you know the sweet single-track trails that exist out there. The Condor 25K Trail Run uses a lot of the same trails as the Mac 50K. The course is a mix of single track and logging roads, with roughly 2,300’ of gain/loss.

There will be two aid stations along the way. Though aid stations aren’t reachable by vehicles, friends and family can drive to the Lewisburg Saddle to cheer on their runners. While there’s no aid station at the Saddle, runners will pass by it around mile 7 on the course.
An additional challenge of this course can sometimes be the weather. Early October often sees rain and cooler temps, but that’s what makes this one so good!

The Condor 25K Trail Run is included in the Corvallis Trail Series (CTS), which seeks to boost interest in trail running and support local races through a series of events. The series showcases Corvallis’s extensive trail network, offering opportunities for runners of all skill levels.
