Alpine Running continues to add amazing races to their lineup and while I’ve done a handful, this one has eluded me year after year. Don’t be like me – sign up and get on these dreamy trails! The Three Sisters Skyline is a great end-of-summer-but-not-quite-fall timeframe on September 21st this year and once again offers the 50K and half marathon distance options.
Both courses are considered “fast” by trail running standards, however, the 50K gets most of the climbing out of the way by mile 10 and views from all aspects of this course. There will be 3 aid stations and after the first one, enjoy all the downhill!
The half marathon has a net downhill of 1,500 ft and only 500 ft of gain and with 85% of the course being on singletrack, it’s an incredibly dreamy trail half! The half will have 1 one station at mile ~7 and the best part: dogs are welcome in the half!
