Running for its 10th year this September 7th, the Beaverton Sun Run is a great local race put on by the Beaverton Rotary Club that helps students from elementary through graduation. As always, this race will benefit a good cause. The Rotary serves the Beaverton community in funding scholarships, books for kids, and warm coats and shoes. They also take part in local and worldwide projects to help the community and have been doing so for over 60 years.
This is a truly a great race for all – including those with families. The 5k takes place right before the 10a Beaverton Celebration Parade – so stick around afterwards and enjoy the festivities and Farmer’s Market.
Registration for the Beaverton Sun Run is open. The USATF-certified race course is an out-and-back along 5th Street in Beaverton and starts and finishes at Schiffler Park. The 5k is $35, but you can save $10 off your entry by using code RunOregon20241.

Our friends at Huber Timing are certifying and timing the event. What this means is that you’ll have highly accurate results on a properly measured course. If you’re searching for a PR 5k course, this will be a good one.
