It’s almost time to hit the trails at Chehalem Ridge Nature Park – located in the heart of Willamette Valley’s wine country. While you won’t be running through vineyards at the Wine Country Trail Runs, you are guaranteed to drive by the many vineyards on your way to the park. And, if you’re 21 or over, you’ll be treated to a taste of wine from Ardiri Winery and Vineyards afterwards.
See our 2022 recap here!

Choose from the 5K, 10K, or Half Marathon on well-groomed, somewhat challenging trails through forest and fields with views of both mountains and vineyards along the courses. There is also an adaptive 5K and 10K option for this NW Dirt Churners event.
There will be water and electrolytes available at the start, so bring your own hydration device for this potentially warm July event. the 10K will have 1 aid station and the 1/2 will have 2.
See our 2023 recap here!

The trails are a mix of pea gravel, and dirt trails, as well as a short stint on a gravel road – depending on which course you run. All trails are well-groomed and will be open to the public during the race. Parking within the park will not be allowed for racers. Instead you will be parking along the shoulder of the gravel road leading to the park entrance. (Wait to wash your vehicle until after the race!) 😉

Finishers will receive a stemless wine glass. And, afterwards, expect a bit of a feast from ETA. Don’t miss out on the post-race picnic. There will be plenty (and I mean PLENTY) of delicious food – including vegan options.

I ran the 5K option last year and was quite impressed. See my Recap of the 2023 event HERE. NW Dirt Churners put on a well-organized event with plenty of perks, and they are available to answer questions and chat with participants keeping that small race feel while providing some big race extras. I highly recommend you get out on the trails for this one in July – I think you’ll be glad you did!
