Racing Renovation: Conquer the Canyon (previously the Redmond Half Marathon) is Ready to Revelry

After a few years of being known as the Redmond Half Marathon (10k/5k), it is back for its third year – this time called Conquer the Canyon. This event – regardless of the name – has already become a local favorite. It is also ripe for a Central Oregon trip for us Willamette Valley runners – I mean who doesn’t love that area in the Summer?!

Checking in with our blogger Drew – who previously resided in Redmond – has confirmed that the event really showcases the city. From the downtown shops to the parks to the trails, all while enjoying the high desert in early-June. All 3 distances take advantage of the picturesque Dry Canyon trail system as well.

Bend Races does a great job of this in Bend and Sisters already, so it’s no surprise to see them finding instant success in Redmond.

Stick around for the post-race celebration in Centennial Park and maybe check out some local businesses or breweries. It will be worth it!

Conquer the Canyon $45-80
