Beauty and Elevation at Cape Mountain

Get ready for race #2 in Daybreak Racing‘s Oregon Coast Trail Series – Cape Mountain. Even if you missed out on race #1 (Siuslaw Dunes – recap here!) you can still get in on this beautiful coastal trail run near Florence. Run on single track trails and explore moss-draped old growth rainforest, enchanting creek canyons, and rare coastal headland meadows. Choose from the 10K, 25K, or 50K loop courses.

Each course will have significant elevation gains/losses. The 10K will gain/lose 1,100 feet of elevation, the 25K – 3,000 feet and the 50K – 6,000 feet. Definitely a worthy challenge! Links to course maps can be seen HERE.

After the race, enjoy a post-race meal and beverages in the finish area. All finishers will receive a custom award, and some lucky runners will win raffle prizes, as well.

25K runners, be sure to note that your event is on Sunday, June 2nd, while the 50K and 10K will be held on Saturday, June 1st.

The event beneficiary is Siuslaw High School’s Cross Country and Track & Field programs in Florence. Head to the coast for this beautiful trail run and support our young runners at the same time.
