Even when we are showcasing new-to-us companies in the running sphere, it’s always amazes us when we stumble upon those who have been in the game for such a long time but just out of radar – not by desire, but just hadn’t yet made a connection.
One such company is KÜHL, a brand that began near Matt’s hometown in Salt Lake City. KÜHL has a variety of apparel options spanning the active outdoors landscape – making their items perfect for most of us here in the PNW. In addition to some casual items, they also have hiking, athletic, and outerwear products as well. We were recently sent a few outerwear options to check out.

The Shirt-Jac is the epitome of cool with its perfect blend of classic style and unique flair. We reviewed a colorway with deep blue-green shade with a touch of brown on the back – giving off those chill western vibes. But it’s not just about looks – it’s got substance too.
The slick shell outside (a MIKRO AIR™ STRETCH) is your water-resistant hero, while inside, it’s all about that cozy, AERO KNIT fuzzy lining goodness that keeps you feeling snug no matter what. Now, we’ll admit, it’s missing those handy external pockets, but does have a trusty chest pocket inside for small essentials. It’s super light but does provide both warmth and breathability.
The button closure on the front adds a touch of personality, and the botton cuffs gives the freedom to roll up those sleeves when the mood strikes. Plus, with its curved hem at the back it provides a little longer length. Honestly, whether you’re rocking it in the spring, fall, or just on those days when you need a little extra warmth, this jacket has got your back – literally and figuratively.

Man, this jacket is the bomb! I mean, it ticks all the boxes – looks, comfort, functionality – it’s got it all.
And let’s talk about the color options – we’re sticking with the gray coupled with brown, because, dang, it’s a winner. Whether you’re heading out on a date or hitting the trails for a hike or a race, this jacket is ready for you.
It has warmth covered too. Thanks to its fleece fabric construction, it’s like wrapping yourself in a cozy cocoon of warmth. Thus its not just functional, it’s ridiculously comfortable. I swear, the fabric is so soft, I’m tempted to use it as a blanket half the time. Seriously, it’s the perfect companion for chilling out, no matter where you are.
Finding something negative about this jacket? Good luck with that! It’s exactly what you’d expect – looks great, fits perfectly, and feels amazing. It’s like finding the holy grail of jackets, and honestly, it’s pretty darn amazing.
