St. Patrick’s Day is often considered the beginning of the spring running season. And the Oregon Coast is considered one of the best places to enjoy a relaxing weekend. So why not put those two together and head to the coast for the Newport Shamrock Run on Saturday, March 16.
Plus, this is the revival for the event after three years off!!!
Participants can choose as much or as little green gear as they want for their half marathon or 5K event. There is also a Kids Run option for just $5. The race begins at Rogue Brewery and finished under the Yaquina Bay Bridge. The half marathon course includes varied terrain, including paved roads and trails. Most of the course is flat so participants have the chance for an early PR.
Participants who sign up before February 26 are guaranteed a Shamrock Run pint glass. Plus, participants are encouraged to sign up as a team to compete and win together. Learn more about this event, and all the perks through the race website.
