Bristow Trail Races: Running Circles Around Nature’s Beauty in Loops of Adventure

The Bristow Trail Races take place on Saturday, February 3rd at Elijah Bristow State Park just a few miles southeast of Eugene. The race is this year’s first race of the Run Big Trail Series.

Check out our race recap here!

All races have the same start/finish area and are run on a 5.2 mile loop in the park. (The 5M and 10M runs are actually 5.2M and 10.4M long.) The course runs on single track trails, and at times it may take you through creeks that is up to a foot deep and five to ten feet across, depending on how rainy it will be leading up to race day. Elevation loss/gain is negligible.

The course loop will be run once for the 5M, twice for the 10M, three times for 25k, and six times for 50k. The two aid tables are passed twice during each loop, offering four chances to get water/drink/first aid, plus a fifth station at the start/finish area. The aid stations will offer water, Gatorade, GU Energy Gel, and Electrolyte Brew Tablets. If you would like to have access to your own supplements, you can drop them off at the aid station tables as you arrive at the race.
