Race Preview: 2021 Columbia River Triathlon & Multi-Sport Festival (Vancouver)

We’ve all made the best of virtual races this past year, but if you’re craving the rush of racing alongside fellow participants on the trail or in the water, the Columbia River Triathlon & Multi-Sport Festival has you covered. This three day event in Vancouver, WA partners with the Girlfriends Triathlon & Fitness Festival to host running, cycling and swimming events for the whole family.

Athletes have the option of Sprint or Olympic distances with every combination of events possible: swim/bike/run, run/bike/run, swim/run, swim/bike, or if you want to participate without worrying about any extra gear, enjoy just running a 5k or 10k. Relays can be completed individually, or register as a two or three person relay (which comes with the added bonus of extra set of hands to load your bike). Along the course, enjoy scenic views of Mt. Hood, Mt. St. Helen’s, the Columbia River and Vancouver Lake

Finishers will receive a medal and shirt, in addition to food, drink and entertainment after the events. Top finishers in each age category will go home with awards, and special medals are earned by fully embracing the multi-sport weekend and completing more than one race. A special BEAST medal goes to anyone who completes two events, and a Three-Headed BEAST Medal and Tri-Princess necklace for completing an event on all three days.

Grab your friends, register for as many events as you like, and have multi-levels of fun!

About Kate Ellingsen (35 Articles)
Running brings me immense joy and peace. Like the fabled tortoise, my pace is slow and steady. I ran my first marathon in 2011, then lost my focus following a cross country move in 2012, gradually working my way back to 26.2 miles. I have no aspirations of qualifying for the Olympics or even Boston. The road is big enough for all runners, and my only goal is to be happy and well. Location: Portland, OR 26.2 x 6 & 13.1 x 13
