Race Preview: 2018 Friendsgiving Half Marathon, 10K, 5K (Springfield)

Thanksgiving, what a wonderful holiday surrounded by friends, family and food, why not add another “f” to the list and sign up for the Friendsgiving race will feature a Half Marathon, 10K and 5K. Burn off those calories with this festive, family friendly run in Springfield OR. The race will take place on November 24th, 2018. The Half Marathon and 10K will start at 9:00 am, while the 5K will start at 9:30am.
The course will feature a terrain of 100% pavement. It will follow the Mill Race Creek, connecting with Middle Fork Path. This course has incredible views of the Willamette River. Each race distance will have aid stations throughout the course. The half marathon will have 5 aid stations, the 10K will have 3 aid stations and the 5K will have 1 aid station. Each aid station will have water, Gatorade, energy gels, first aid and snacks. The course will be clearly marked with hot pink directional signs, white arrows and course marshals. Chip timing and and results are provided by Eclectic Edge Racing.
Medals will be given for all half marathon participants and for the top three male and female finishers in each age category. This is also a family friendly race, and strollers are permitted during the race, however, dogs are not permitted. Post race refreshments are also available at the finish line.
