Race Preview: 2018 Oregon Brewery Running Series – 54° – 40′ Brewing 5K (Washougal)

After a successful spring and summer, the Oregon Brewery Running Series is now preparing for its fall runs with an event every Saturday in October (plus one in November). The second run in the fall series takes place at 54°- 40′ Brewing Co. in Washougal, WA, situated on the east end of the small town. Check-in for the race starts around 10:30am. You can pick up your bib, your shirt if you ordered one, and get ready for the start.

The out-and-back course will take you on paved sidewalks for less than half a mile before then running on the trail through Capt William Clark Park along the Columbia River for the majority of the distance. On a clear day, you’ll be able to see Mount Hood during the second half of the run. As with all OBRS races, the race course is not closed (follow traffic rules!), is well marked and staffed with volunteers, will be around a 3mile to 5k distance, and will have no race clock. There is no bag check, and the race takes place in any weather, so please plan accordingly. After the run, enjoy your free drink (pint of beer for those 21+ with valid ID, non-alcoholic options also available), free swag item from OBRS or the brewery, and stick around for the raffle.
