Strava Segment of the Week: Sunset Bike Path E to W

It’s really, really hot out there, so this week’s segment is a nice downhill. The Sunset Bike Path E to W is 1.25 miles, with an average grade of negative 4%. The segment actually starts at the corner or SW Camelot Ct and SW Pointer Rd., ending at SW Knollcrest Drive. This course is parallel to the Sunset Highway, so choose your timing carefully … a time with little traffic would be ideal.

As of July 26, 2018, there have been 1,048 attempts at this segment by 199 unique athletes.

Current leaders:

Men’s: Chris Hardesty from April 2017, 6:31

Women’s Chris Kimbrough from September 2015, 7:19

If you’re on Strava, why not join the Run Oregon Strava club? There are currently 209 members, including Steve Walters, who logged 100.3 miles last week! Great job, Steve!!!

About Kelly Barten (995 Articles)
I started the Run Oregon blog in February 2007, because I felt like running in Oregon and SW Washington deserved more positive coverage. I also wanted to level the playing field so that small, non-profit races could compete with big events; and to support LOCAL race organizers. I'm a Creighton Bluejay (undergrad) and an Oregon Duck (Sports Marketing MBA), and I live in Tigard with my husband and two kids. My "real job" is working for an incredibly awesome math textbook company doing marketing and production.
