With a race moto “All Hail Bend Ale”, Bend Ale Run does not disappoint. Like most races, the after drink of choice is beer, but this race is more than just about the recovery beverage. The Bend Ale Run, not only has beer at completion of the run, but also includes entry into the Bend Ale Fest and 4 tokins. The race will also have an amazing race course, that will feature an epic, beautiful and breathtaking course. The post race festivities will let participants enjoy the Bend Ale Trail – Bend Ale Run, which has an abundance of world class breweries scattered together. What more could you ask for in a race?
On November 11, 2017, participants either running the 10K or half marathon will start at NW Crossings Road. The course will have rolling hills and be moderate in difficultly with having both gravel and pavement. Each distance will end at the Bend Ale Fest. The course will have panoramic views of the Cascade Mountain Range allowing you to see Mt. Hood, Mt. Jefferson, Three Fingered Jack, North, Middle, and South Sisters, and Mt. Bachelor. Once participants cross the finish line, they will be greeted with tasty foot, cold beer, and be able to warm up in a warm tent. There will be Pork Sliders, roasted vegetables, coleslaw, potato salad, cookies and fresh fruit to help runners refuel. There will also be options for those vegan, vegetarian and gluten free. Deschutes Brewing will be there to pair lunch with their beer. Following runners will be given the Bend Ale Run pint glass, 4 tokens, and entry into the Bend Ale Festival. The Bend Ale Festival will have over 40 beers on tap, live music, and several fire pits. Truly the best part about race day!
Participants running in either the 10K or half marathon will receive some pretty nice swag. This year runners will get to run with a scenic beautiful course, have aid stations and port-a-potties, chip timing, a super cool race beanie, big honking finisher medal, catered lunch, entry to the Bend Ale Festival with 4 tokens, and a custom Bend Ale Run pint glass with their race entry.
