Race Preview: 2017 Pacific City Beach Challenge (Pacific City)

Somewhere between Tillamook and Lincoln City is one of the most picturesque coastal towns: Pacific City. The 8th annual Pacific City Beach Challenge comes to this lovely town (and the famed Haystack Rock and “Sand Hill” on July 30th, which has participants running an out and back on both hard and soft sand along one of Oregon’s most scenic beaches.

Racers can choose from the 5K run/walk or the 10K run. They also have a kids half mile run! Registration includes chip timing, a tech t-shirt, a finisher’s medal, a Pelican beer (or root beer), pre-post race festivities, and awards!

The proceeds from this gorgeous event go to the Nestucca Valley Early Learning Center , which provides reliable, affordable, and quality child care to the coastal community. Everything for the run is donated by the Board of Directors and Center staff.
