Race Preview: 2017 Sisters “Better Half” Marathon

If you are looking for a half or quarter marathon in the scenic Sisters area of central Oregon, you’ll want to check out the Sisters “Better Half” Marathon taking place in late April. For one thing, the race course takes runners through large parts of Sisters, with multiple passes through the start/finish area so that spectators will get to see their favorite runners several times during the race:

The race course is 6.55 miles, so the half marathon consists of two loops. Besides the single racer option, however, you can sign up for a half marathon relay with a partner, and there are three relay options: male/male, female/female, and “better half” (i.e., female/male or male/female). Registration includes a race shirt if done by April 15, as well as a pint glass and a ticket for one drink at Three Creeks Brewing (for runners 21 and over).
