For New Year’s Eve, you may be thinking of taking it easy and find yourself looking for a relaxing 3-ish mile run/walk. Or you might even think of kicking that up a notch by also doing a lovely 500 yard swim. If either of those sound appealing, the fine folks at Mountain Star are putting on just such an event – the Freeze Your Fanny!
If you are looking for something a little more challenging, you might want to consider the 8 mile Prison Breakout run that boasts a 250 foot elevation gain, followed by a 250 foot elevation loss, every 2 miles! Either way, you can take your kiddos, who get to swim for free while you run, enjoy some chili afterwards and have a cup of coffee, all for only $25! All proceeds benefit the outstanding mission of Mountain Star’s Family Relief Nursery.
When: December 31st. 8 mile starts at 9:30am. 3 mile starts at 10am.
