Race Preview: 2016 Run For Your Nuts

Do your friends think you’re a little nuts with all the running you do? You might as well prove them right and join a whole tree full of nuts at Run For Your Nuts on December 3rd. This 5K has a variety of terrain that will keep you guessing throughout the course. You’ll run on streets, sidewalks, and even gravel roads on this up and down route. When you cross the finish line, instead of a medal, you will be rewarded with a custom printed bag of hazelnuts.

Held during the Mount Angel Hazelnut Festival and German Holiday Market, you’ll get your nuts and enjoy the festivity of the holiday season with a German theme. The race starts and finishes at the Mt. Angel Festhalle, where the holiday market is held, so after you run you can check out the many hazelnut goodies and German themed marketplace.

Run For Your Nuts 2015 race shirt

I ran this race for the first time last year and enjoyed the challenging course, the festive environment, and – of course – the shirt! (See my 2015  race recap here.) I plan to round up my fellow running nuts and run for my nuts again this December. I hope to see the rest of you nuts there!
