Race Preview: 2016 Oregon Mid-Valley Road Race

It’s on! For the ninth time! The Ninth Annual Oregon Mid-Valley Road Race Is On! The beautiful Albany Road Race started back in 2008 by The Lions Club to raise support for medical needs in the Mid-Valley. You asked and they answered! There is now not only a 5k option but now a 10k option for those of you who want to burn off that extra turkey grease Thanksgiving morning!

The scenic challenge run course is a 5.2 mile course that loops along some rural roads with a pretty good elevation gain. The Hill and Back! Course is a 3.75 out and back (hence the name) course along a scenic rural road. The 2.5 mile walk course is a loop with no elevation change. The Little OMRR Kids Dash is a 1/3 mile out and back along Hickory Street in North Albany.
There is a Oregon Mid-Valley Road Race School Challenge option available. Anyone can sign up for this. A $1,000 check will be given to the Junior High and High School that recruits the most race participants. The funds will be awarded to their PTO or Booster Club.
