Small Race Previews: 4th of July Races in Southern Oregon

There are a bunch of races on the 4th of July. We try to get to as many as we can, but sometimes there just isn’t enough time in the week to get them all scheduled! If you are looking for some local races on your holiday, read below!

4th of July Run (Ashland)

Ashland Parks & Recreation Commission (APRC) will present the Annual 4th of July Run on Monday, July 4, 2016. This event is a fundraiser for the Ashland and Phoenix High School cross country teams. Two routes are offered: a 10K run (6.2-mile) and the traditional 2-mile run/walk. Both races start at 7:45 a.m. and are chip-timed. The Start/Finish line is near the Ashland Library, 410 Siskiyou Blvd, corner of 3rd St and Gresham St. The routes are scenic and on closed roadways. A section of the 10K route is along the tree-lined Bear Creek Greenway.
