The 14th Annual 5K Run/Walk and Fun Walk For Safe Families is coming up on Saturday, May 7th (Mother's Day weekend). The event is a fundraiser for the Center Against Rape & Domestic Violence (CARDV), based in Corvallis. Proceeds go to CARDV's shelter program, advocacy services, and community education program.
The event includes a 5k run/walk, a 1- or 2-mile fun walk, and a kid's run. There is also a Family Fun Fair, with live music and raffle prizes. Register before Sunday, April 24th to receive a free T-shirt. Kids will receive a participant ribbon, snacks, and a shirt. Strollers are welcome, but only in the walking events.
