Yes… yes… it’s true… this is a blog about all things running and all things running in the beautiful state of Oregon… but allow me if you would, to jump off trail for a minute or two and introduce you to the wonderful world of cycling… completely different, surprisingly similar, and very rewarding… especially on those particularly nasty routes there I think…”Thank God I’m not running this”!
I have been cycling for a few years now, and I have come to love it, and events like the all ladies Champagne Bike Ride can be a giant step in your love affair with the wheels. Energy Events brings us this up and coming bike series, offering two different distances, a 20 mile ride and a 35 mile ride. For the 2nd year, this August 9th event takes riders through some of Vancouver’s most scenic areas including Fort Vancouver and over and along the Columbia River in both Washington and Oregon. After this non timed ride, enjoy your accomplishments with your well earned medal, champagne flute, and a mimosa! Bling and bubbly… what more could you ask for in a race!!
