Small Race Preview: 2015 A Race for Grace 5k (Wilsonville)

The second annual Race for Grace 5k takes place on Saturday, June 20th at 10am. This year, Grace Chapel is partnering with Living Water International to raise money for a fresh water well to be built in a village in Rwanda, Africa. The event is family friendly, and runners and walkers of all speeds are invited to participate.

The race starts and ends at Grace Chapel in Wilsonville (9600 Boeckman Rd) and runs on sidewalks bridging over the Coffee Creek wetlands and through the Villebois neighborhood. It’s a somewhat hilly course with an estimated 100ft of elevation gain and loss conquered twice, but the hills are doable even for the casual athlete. The tentative approcimate route can be found here.

After the race, participants can relax with a massage and refreshments. Up to date details for the event, as well as photos from last year’s race are available on the Facebook page.
