Race Preview: 2015 Three Rivers Race Against Domestic Violence

The 3 Rivers Race is a gem of an event that has something for everyone. And, as we love, the proceeds go to a wonderful cause … stopping domestic violence.
Three Rivers

This unique event is a hybrid, meaning you can ride your bike or you can run. They are in their fourteenth year and with such a beautiful venue and a great cause, that is no surprise. There is even a free one mile “Jelly Bean” walk you can do with your family if you choose not to run or ride.

Whether you participate as a team, a family, or as an individual, you are guaranteed a day full of adventure and fun. There is a 5K or 10K for runners and walkers, a 13 mile course for family bikers, a 35, 55 ,70, or 100 mile bike for teams and individuals.

The course circles the beautiful Grand Ronde Valley in Eastern Oregon. The money raised goes to fight domestic violence in Union, Wallowa and Baker Counties. You have the choice to designate which county you would like your registration fee to go to.

There is even a 1 mile “Jelly Bean” walk for families. Who doesn’t love Jelly Beans?

In addition to great food and entertainment waiting for you at the end, prizes will be given out for money raised, first place individuals (based on time) and first place teams (based on time).

The registration fee is a $35  minimum pledge for runners and a $50 minimum pledge for bikers. Of course for such a great cause you can donate more. The fee includes a barbecue dinner at the end.  Whole families can participate for one hundred dollars, to include four barbecue dinners.

There will be an option to purchase a T-shirt for $15.00.
