The annual Cherry Blossom Festival 5k takes place in Benton WA on Saturday, April 4th. The run/walk is sponsored by the Kiona-Benton Performing Arts Boosters, and proceeds help support equipment, travel and competition costs for performing artists.
The run follows an out-and-back course that starts at the Lions Club on Ellen Ave, heads out of town to the south, then turns west and runs past fields and farms towards the turnaround. The only significant hill is leading up to the turnaround point, so it is immediately followed by an equal downhill heading back the way it came. Medals will be awarded to the top three males and top three females, as well as the top three walkers.
