This year, on Oct. 11th, the Santiam Christian School in Adair Village (near Corvallis, Ore.) will be hosting the Eagle’s Flight 5k/10k Walk/Run, which is a fundraiser to help the school purchase much needed equipment for their SCS Enrichment Classes and programs. These programs will be able to be utilized throughout the entire school, and will be a benefit to the entire student body.
According to the website course map, participants of both the 5k and 10k race will follow a path that loops part of the school campus (10k participants will actually run this loop twice) before they are sent frolicking to a nearby scenic trail. Once through the trail, runners will have a brief stint through nearby residential streets before heading back to the school campus to the finish line, where they will celebrate their achievement with food, family activities, music, and sponsored booths.
All participants who preregister will receive a drawstring sportspack, free cotton race t-shirt for the 5k/10k runners, post-race refreshments, music, and awards. Medals will be awarded for the top 3 men and women in each age group, and all children completing the fun run will receive their own ribbon to proudly take home. If you would like more information regarding this race, you may contact Santiam Christian Schools at 541-745-5524, or go to their website.
