It’s that time of the month again … time to head to NW Portland for the summertime group run party that is First Thursday!
This month, early birds will be able to try on Saucony shoes for a run test, and 21+ runners and walkers that bring their ID will enjoy cold brews from Lompoc. (This is one of my favorite local breweries, by the way.)
This is a FREE event, open to runners and walkers. Friendly dogs on leashes and running strollers are also welcome. It’s just one big, happy family of people who like to get some exercise and have a good time!
As always, the maps come out at 6p, the raffle starts at 7p, and the party goes until 8p. Remember the new location for 2014 if you haven’t been to a run yet this year!

When: Thursday, May 1, 2014
What time: 6p (be there by 5:45 to get registered)
Where: Con-Way parking lot at NW 20th and Raleigh
Register: It’s a free event, but you can score extra raffle tickets by pre-registering online here; otherwise register DOR at the event
Bring: Your ID, smartphone or camera, and dry clothes to change into after running – I also recommend bringing as many friends as you can!
