Race Preview: Bring in Spring 5k Preview

Bring in SpringLevel 32 Racing is offering a fun evening run/walk to welcome spring.  Bring in Spring 5k participants will literally bring in the new season with a run on the first day of spring.   An evening run on Friday, March 21st, that will start and finish at Sladden Park in Eugene sounds like a fun way to celebrate a change in seasons.  The course is flat and fast, mostly on bike paths that follow the Willamette River and a small section on paved road. The race starts at 6PM and packet pickup will run between 4:30PM and 5:45PM.

Adults (18-59) cost $20, children (17 and under) and seniors (over 60) cost $15.  There will be race day registration for an additional $5.  Participants can order a technical shirt for $10 and shirts are only guaranteed if they are ordered by March 15th.  You can register online or at the Eugene Running Company (116 Oakway Center) until Thursday, March 20th at noon.

Awards will be given to the overall male and female winner and the top three finishers in each age group.  There will also be awards for the most colorful costume/running attire to help celebrate the Spring Equinox.  There will be prizes, also, for spring related trivia winners.  All participants will be invited to the post-race celebration.  For all race details click here.
