Coach Jim’s free group run for Saturday, January 18, 2014

This week's run will consist of two courses; the first of 6 miles and the second of 10.2 miles. When: Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 8a Where: Lululemon Bridgeport at 7381-B Bridgeport Way in Tigard

The six-mile course is a nice out and back heading west, making use of Boones Ferry Road and Durham, past Tigard High School down to Highway 99 and back. There are nice, wide sidewalks and only gentle inclines.

For the 10 mile route, you’ll make a big loop starting out south on Boones Ferry before heading west on Teton and then going back north again on Teton. Just past your 5 mile marker you’ll be entering Cook Park from the south and then staying on the trail for about two miles, climbing out of the park at SW 108th and then running along Durham back to Boones Ferry to your finish.

Check out Coach Jim’s Elite Runners in Training on facebook and say hi – new folks are always welcome and before long you’ll feel like one of the regulars! Paces range from about a 9:00 mile to a 12:30 mile.

About Kelly Barten (1021 Articles)
I started the Run Oregon blog in February 2007, because I felt like running in Oregon and SW Washington deserved more positive coverage. I also wanted to level the playing field so that small, non-profit races could compete with big events; and to support LOCAL race organizers. I'm a Creighton Bluejay (undergrad) and an Oregon Duck (Sports Marketing MBA), and I live in Tigard with my husband and two kids. My "real job" is working for an incredibly awesome math textbook company doing marketing and production.
