Energy Events’ Vancouver USA Marathon and Half Marathon is a great race! The course is nice, the layout of the start/finish is excellent, the energy is great, the weather turned out perfect – but the race didn’t at all go the way I was hoping. I survived, and that’s about all I can say.
The Vancouver USA Marathon weekend is coming up in a few days, and with it comes its amazing Active Expo, where you will pick up your race packet and browse the vendor tables. The expo takes place at Ester Short Park in Vancouver, WA, Friday through Sunday, with packet pickup available Friday and Saturday. Parking is free at several close locations indicated on the parking map.
One of my favorite races in the Portland Metro Area is soon approaching and is selling out fast – The Vancouver USA Marathon and Half Marathon. The event, organized by Energy Events, is ranked as one of the top nine best new marathons for 2014 by Runner’s World and as one of the top 10 “Fun-Feature Filled Marathons in the USA” for 2013.
The Vancouver USA Marathon (VUM) is about a month away, and there are some deadlines to be aware of. Tonight 5/12/14 by 11:59pm is the last day to register or change race distance and still receive your personalized Race Bib printed with your name on it!! The Vancouver USA Marathon and Half Marathon (aka “VUM”) has been dubbed “the hidden gem of the Northwest”, and for good reason. The VUM racing weekend is organized by Energy Events, it offers four different distances (the marathon, half marathon, 5k, and kids marathon) and now also includes a brewfest!
