2026 Race Series Preview: Lay It Out Events

Running in Central Oregon is the best. Bend, Sisters, and yes—even Redmond—are packed with gorgeous places to stretch your legs and Lay It Out Events is determined to help you experience them all. If you’re looking for an excuse to hit the trails and soak in everything the high desert has to offer, go ahead and put at least one LIO race on your must-do list.

CALENDAR OF EVENTS

 

Hot Cocoa Run 

  • Distance: 5k
  • When: Sunday, February 15th
  • Where: Old Mill District, Bend, OR

Salmon Run 

  • Distance: Half Marathon, 10k, and 5k
  • When: Saturday April 18th
  • Where: Riverbend Park, Bend, OR

Happy Girls Bend 

  • Distance: Half Marathon, 10k, and 5k
  • When: Saturday, May 9th
  • Where: Riverbend Park, Bend, OR

Conquer the Canyon 

  • Distance: Half Marathon, 10k, and 5k (Doggie Dash 5k too!)
  • When: Saturday, June 6th
  • Where: Centennial Park, Redmond, OR

Haulin’ Aspen 

  • Distance: Half As, Half, and Full Trail Marathon
  • When: Saturday, August 8th
  • Where: Wanoga Sno Park, Bend, OR

The Bend Beer Run 

  • Distance: 5k
  • When: Saturday, August 29th
  • Where: Drake Park, Bend, OR

Happy Girls Sisters 

  • Distance: Half Marathon, 10k, and 5k
  • When: Saturday, October 24th
  • Where: Five Pine Lodge, Sisters, OR

Kids Rock the Races 

  • Distance: Vary based on age and location but always less than a mile
  • When:
    • Saturday, April 18th – Little Fry Run (part of Salmon Run at Riverbend Park)
    • Saturday, May 9th – Happy Little Kids Run (part of Happy Girls Bend at Riverbend Park)
    • Thursday, May 29th – Kids Glow Run (part of Alpenglow Nights at Alpenglow Park)
    • Saturday, June 6th – Lil Trailblazers Run (part of Conquer the Canyon at Centennial Park)
    • Friday, July 24th – Balloon Blast (part of Balloons Over Bend at Central Oregon Community College)
