Treat Your Feet: ROLL Recovery Solace Slides

After logging more miles (1200+) in 2025 than I have in the past seven years—plus over 2,500 miles on the bike—my feet and legs had every right to revolt. Somehow, they didn’t. A smarter mix of running and cycling certainly helped, but I also credit one major improvement: much better recovery.

And as I look toward 2026 (hello, mobility and yoga), I’m doubling down with tools that make recovery easier—like the new Solace Slides from ROLL Recovery.

Most runners know ROLL Recovery for their rollers—it’s literally in the name—but their move into recovery footwear has been a win. I basically lived in their slippers this past year. The new Solace Slides keep the comfort rolling, but add a more refined, casual-ready aesthetic that makes them an easy all-day option.

Specs

  • Genuine suede upper
  • Engineered Cradle Design for stability and support
  • SUPERPLUSH Foam: Algae + EVA with BLOOM foam technology
  • Orthofit Support for arch and midfoot comfort
  • Integrated metatarsal bar for added support

The cushioning is everything you’d hope for in a recovery slide—soft, supportive, and sustainably made thanks to the BLOOM foam (goodbye, petroleum). Pair that with the cradle design and you get more stability than the typical floppy sandal. The suede upper not only looks better but helps lock in a surprisingly secure fit.

ROLL Recovery describes the fit as an “ergonomic cocoon effect,” meaning your foot sits in the footwear rather than on top of it. It didn’t totally register with me at first—after all, runners are used to feeling “inside” their shoes. But when you compare it to traditional bargain-bin sandals that barely shield your feet from the pavement, you suddenly get it. The Solace Slides actually cradle your feet in a way that feels intentional and supportive.

These are going to be in heavy rotation once warmer weather arrives—and honestly, they’re already sneaking into my daily standing desk and walk-around-indoor lineup. My feet aren’t just ready for 2026… they’re excited.
