New Summer Arrivals from Surfside Supply

Summer shirts live in that sweet spot between comfort and utility—something I’m always chasing as a runner, too. Whether I’m cooling down after a run or heading out for a casual weekend meetup, I want shirts that breathe easy, move well, and look like I didn’t overthink it. Surfside Supply’s short sleeve lineup isn’t made for miles, but it fits that in-between space perfectly: relaxed, versatile, and effortlessly comfortable.

Though Surfside Supply is rooted on the East Coast, much of their clothing feels right at home in the Pacific Northwest. Since 2013, the brand has leaned into a relaxed, lived-in aesthetic—designed for those easygoing moments between life’s more demanding rhythms.

As someone balancing work and running, I gravitate toward clothing that feels effortless but put-together. Surfside’s short sleeve summer pieces strike that balance—offering lightweight comfort and subtle style perfect for warm-weather downtime. Let’s take a closer look at a few highlights from their seasonal lineup.

Sean Burnout Henley

Few casual shirts beat a good Henley in my book, and this one from Surfside Supply might be the best of the bunch. It’s the perfect blend of T-shirt comfort with a bit of buttoned-up style—and it absolutely delivers.

Right out of the package, it feels like an old favorite: super soft, broken-in, and effortlessly wearable. It has a slightly looser, longer fit that should hold up well even after repeated washes. What really sets it apart, though, is the unique “burnout” dyeing process, which gives each shirt its own one-of-a-kind look. No two are exactly alike.

There are about seven color options to choose from, and as of this writing, a few are even marked down by over 50%. Stylish, comfortable, and just different enough—this Henley nails it.

Mariner Camp Collar Shirt

I love having a diversified closet. Some people swear by a uniform wardrobe—simple staples in neutral tones to keep things easy and save brainpower. But personally, I like pieces that span the full spectrum—from clean and classic to bold and conversation-starting. The Mariner Terry Camp Collar is almost the perfect marriage of those two extremes.

On one hand, it’s a white, short-sleeve, button-up collared shirt. From a distance, it reads simple and timeless. And in many ways, it is—white is one of the easiest colors to pair with anything. But the fun reveals itself as you get closer. The shirt is made from a thicker recycled terry cloth blend and features a subtle, embossed anchor pattern throughout. It’s playful, tactile, and undeniably summery.

This is a great warm-weather shirt—ideal for everything from backyard BBQs (just watch out for the condiments) to your next summer runcation. It brings a little personality without being over-the-top, which is exactly the kind of balance I like.

Ryan Terry Polo

This Ryan Terry Polo just screams summer. That’s largely thanks to its high-quality, super-soft blend of cotton and recycled poly terry fabric. Every single one of the women in my family said it looked like I was wearing a towel—and honestly, they’re not wrong. The texture definitely has that plush, towel-like feel, but in the best way possible. It’s like a well-made drying device turned into a shirt.

The inside of the shirt feels different—softer, smoother, and designed to sit comfortably against the skin. I get the impression it was made to be worn without anything underneath.

Fit-wise, it runs true to size but leans toward the slim side. The chest and sleeves felt standard, but the cut over the stomach was slimmer than I expected—not unbearable, just a bit tighter than I’d like. If you prefer a more relaxed fit through the torso, you might want to size up.

Whether you’re looking for something to relax in post-run or a shirt that transitions seamlessly from office to weekend, the Surfside Supply collection is worth checking out.
