Kegs & Legs Drinks of the Week: Tuesday Cocktail Club

I fancy myself a bit of a mixologist—if by “mixologist” I mean someone who really wishes they had the skills, patience, and understanding to craft quality cocktails at home. Every time I try, though, it just doesn’t quite taste the same as what I’d get from a professional.

That said, I don’t drink at home all that often (it’s not COVID anymore), and my taste in beverages has evolved over the years. I know not everyone drinks alcohol—and that’s totally fine—but while my drinking habits have mellowed compared to 10 years ago, I still enjoy a relaxing drink after a full day of running, working, and just life in general. I’ve always appreciated a good glass of Syrah, an IPA, and now, thanks to Tuesday Cocktail Club, I can more easily enjoy a mixed drink without the hassle of making (and inevitably ruining) one myself.

Tuesday Cocktail Club, a subsidiary of Bend’s AVID Cider, offers wine-based cocktails that look as good as they taste. The current selection leans toward the sweeter side of the flavor spectrum—something to keep in mind if you’re not into sweet drinks (my wife, for example, isn’t). But if you enjoy a little sweetness, these are super accessible and taste great.

Flavors:

What I really appreciate about these canned cocktails is the convenience. It’s easy to grab one (or a few) and take them on a hike or enjoy a refreshing drink after an all-day trail run.

With a 10.5% ABV, they pack a nice punch, and I’m already looking forward to cracking one open as the sun sets this summer after a long day of running and yardwork. If you’re looking for an easy, delicious drink without the effort of mixing it yourself, Tuesday Cocktail Club is definitely worth checking out.
