Stay Toasty at the Run to Stay Warm

The Run to Stay Warm is only one of a handful of road half marathons in Oregon in the month of November. It has almost become a Eugene area staple for its great race course, unique weather, and reasonable price. This long running event comes back on Sunday, November 24th.

The course (check it out here) starts and finishes at the new City Hall Plaza in Eugene. All routes will lead participants along the Ruth Bascome Riverbank Path along the Willamette River.

Previous runners have mentioned the amazing experience of starting this race and being flanked with spectators until hitting the trail. The crowd support is awesome, with all sorts of folks cheering, ringing cowbells, and shouting encouragement.

All participants recevie a logo beanie, custom finisher’s medal and access to the post-race party. There will be music, food, hot chocolate, and more to enjoy.

Once again, all proceeds of this race go to EWEB’s Customer Care Program, which helps more than 4,500 households each year save energy and manage their utility bills.

Run to Stay Warm (Eugene) $40-65
