If you thinking hiking up to Angel’s Rest is amazingly-hard and leads to amazing views, then how would you feel about running up that incline instead?

This year is the welcome back year for the Angel’s Rest Half Marathon and 10K events, as well as the brand new addition of a 50K to the top of Larch Mountain. The events were on hold for years due to the destruction and recovery in the Columbia Gorge from the Eagle Creek Fire in 2017. Taking part in Angel’s Rest means seeing the rebirth in action.

The new 50K event includes running past Multnomah Falls (and other waterfalls), hitting Devil’s Rest and Angel’s Rest, and going all the way up (and around) Larch Mountain. If you are not interested in 6,500 feet of elevation gain and loss, then you should look into the half marathon and 10K distances instead. You are still getting amazing views, with just 3,300 feet or 1,600 feet in elevating change respectively.

All events start at Benson State Recreation Area, where the Backporch Coffee will be brewing and the parking costs $5. All finishers each a custom finisher medal. The top three female, male, and non-binary finishers of each race receiving prizes from race sponsors. Everyone will get to enjoy the after-race food from ETA .
